This site is operated by Critical Business School (CBS). It publishes writing, the Being in Space newsletter and podcast, meetup announcements, and information about AI Literacy for Teams. This notice explains what CBS collects, why, and what your rights are.

What is collected

Membership and newsletters. If you subscribe, CBS stores your email address, your name if you give it, the newsletters you have chosen, and basic engagement data such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. This is used to send the newsletters you asked for and to understand what readers find useful.

Paid subscriptions. Payments are processed by Stripe. CBS never sees or stores your full card details; it receives your subscription status, plan, and billing email.

Comments. If you comment on a post, your name and comment are shown publicly alongside it.

Email you send. If you write to CBS, including proposal requests for AI Literacy for Teams, the correspondence is kept to reply and follow up.

Analytics. Aggregate traffic (pages viewed, referrer, browser and device type) is reviewed to understand how the site is used. Where Google Analytics is enabled, Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Standard access logs. The site's host records source IP, timestamp, and requested URL for each request, retained for a limited period as part of its infrastructure.

Where the data goes

The site and member data are hosted by Ghost (Ghost Foundation). Payments go through Stripe. Email sent to info@criticalbusinessschool.com is received by Critical Business School staff. CBS does not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

Retention

Member data is kept while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or delete your account, your personal data is removed except where billing records must be kept. Correspondence is kept for up to twelve months after the conversation ends.

Your rights

You can update your details or unsubscribe at any time from your account page or the link in any newsletter. You can also request a copy of the personal data held about you, correction of anything inaccurate, or deletion. Email info@criticalbusinessschool.com and you will get a response within thirty days.

Cookies

The site uses cookies needed to keep you signed in as a member and, where analytics is enabled, analytics cookies. No advertising or tracking pixels.
