Coaching content often focuses on tweaks and hacks to maximize the self. Promoting accountability and habit formation tricks can risk falling into the territory of ‘shoulds’ and indirectly being utilitarian, which is always disembodied.
Crafting the self into an optimal version ignores who you are and the goal of self-actualization: being seen the way you see yourself.
