Not all money is the same. Like a bad career, bad money peaks rather than grows in capacity. All professional peaks are early peaks because there is no finish line. It is a local optimum based on a fixed interiority. If your career is not growing with you, it has already peaked.
When your professional persona defines you, it tells you what lifestyle and aspirations you want, instead of listening to your wants and wishes. Both belong to others and are taken by them instead of being offered by you to the people you choose.
Consistency is the only secret to growth (of the self, including career and salary). There is a compounding benefit to being yourself and doing good work with good people for good money.
