No one is going to remind you to get to know yourself
Being forced to change is always the worst time to get to know yourself.
(If you were to, for example, lose a high-paying job out of the blue)
You will operate from a scarcity mindset, seeking the minimum amount of self-understanding that secures the next job, and will prioritize the utmost transactional approach. A scarcity mindset is the enemy of expansion and imagination. The ability to maintain a healthy space of thinking (in the face of externalities) is at the center of the steadiness that leadership and inspiration ask for.
